Rademacher Forges

The Rademacher Forges have produced knives, scissors, needles, locks, tools and nails for hundreds of years. The craftmanship is kept alive and the buildings are still used by knife smiths, goldsmiths and ironsmiths as well as for other crafts such as wood, metal and textile crafts. The Rademacher Forges are well preserved ad remain in their original location.

There is also a museum smithy and several exhibitions both inside and outside. Smetuna, a children's activity area gives children the chance to experience life in a 19th century smithy and household.

In summer, the outdoor stage is kept alive by theatre companies and various musicians. Every year there is a spring fair, an autmun fair and a Christmas fair on the grounds.

Guided tours all the year round, subject to a fee.
