Gamla Oxelösund

Gamla Oxelösund (Old Oxelösund) is located between the ironworks and harbour. Here you’ll find many beautifully restored houses and a living archipelago environment with seaside restaurant from the 17th century. There was also once a sconce positioned here. A stone’s throw away is an archipelago museum, Mästerlotsen conference room, and cultural trail which describes the origins of Oxelösund.

Follow the ‘Kulturstig’ sign and blue markings to find the right way.

Enjoy a good meal or cup of coffee at Oxelö restaurant. Here you can also rent a row boat and row over to Furön where you can follow a delightful stretch of the Sörmlandsleden hiking trail.
